Our Mission

Working in Support of Enrichment (WISE)

The Iroquois WISE Coalition is the outreach arm of Iroquois Avenue Christ Lutheran Church. It is working to support the enrichment of children and families through service, education and recreation. Our vision is a community which develops and supports healthy individuals and families. We strive to provide a service that instills peace, justice, compassion, affirmation of human dignity, self worth and self determination.

A safe haven for children where they can learn, and share in a community of other children of a variety of races, income, religion and educational background. We believe that every child can flourish, given a safe and loving environment. We provide this through mentoring, tutoring and recreation.

Healthy and nourishing food to the community's children and their parents. We believe that children can not thrive without basic nourishment that feeds their minds and bodies.

Provide food for those who cannot find employment and have inefficient income to provide nourishment for their families.

Provide shelter for the homeless, mentally challenged and abused families members, whether women, men, or children.

Provide a place where children can be safe for recreation while learning how to live peacefully with others, and protect the environment and the earth.
